Attendants at a Tesco filling station in the Clifton Moor area of York, England, are standing behind their customers - and pushing their cars off the lot, report local newspapers
Dozens of customers at the self serve station have found that a mysterious force is locking cars outfitted with keyless entries or preventing them from starting their engines after they fill up. The vehicles mysteriously revive once they're shoved off the premises, away from the station's canopy.
Managers at the gas station blame electrical interference for the problem and have branded it "a mystery."
Locals blame the problem on anything from digital TV signals and Wi-Fi routers to military testing of electro-magnetic field weapons.
A reader of an online newspaper dubs the Tesco location "the greenest petrol station in York," surmising that patrons attempting to buy fuel are simply shut down and prevented from driving as a matter of environmental policy. |
